About Us

Founded by Nick Italiano and his wife Robin in 2023 with the goal of providing full-scale business consulting services for small businesses in the Outdoor and Every Day Carry space.

On top of being avid outdoors people, Nick and Robin have extensive experience working in small business development. Nick is a former banker and financial advisor who spent much of his career working with other professionals to provide comprehensive support to small businesses across various industries. Robin has built a robust career working in the natural and organic foods space and is largely considered one of the most detail oriented and knowledgeable sales support managers in the industry.

Nick has spent the last few years working with companies including Knife Pivot Lube and Knives by Nuge providing professional writing services, sales assistance, business strategy planning, marketing planning, and trade show support as well as helping numerous companies with product launches and creator marketing.

With the creation of Black Flag Business Solutions, Nick and Robin plan on expanding their operation to include a wide variety of outdoor businesses including start-ups, content creators, and established small businesses who are looking to grow.

For our consulting clients, we take an authentic and organic approach to helping our clients grow their businesses. We focus on helping each of our clients develop their brand identity that aligns with their core values. Once we have an established brand identity, we work together to establish or further connect you to your audience through community based engagement.

We recognize that every business is different and there is no cookie cutter plan. We develop a custom strategy that can potentially include focused email blasts, content creator marketing, social media engagement planning, as well as event and trade show support.

The plans we create are constantly monitored for success. We analyze your sales and engagement data to ensure the strategies we implement are working for your business, and we are fully prepared to make changes as needed.

We recognize that your time and resources are valuable, and we never want to charge you for services you don’t need. We offer limiting consulting options that will strictly focus on certain areas that need attention. This will give you the results your business needs while saving you time and money.
